Idk what to expect out of these comments. The Linux community is a rather fickle one. But anyway… take a shot every time I say “solid” lol.
As you can tell, I’m not too passionate about telling other people what distro they should use. It’s really all personal preference but I hope I shed some light on how to go about picking the right Linux Distro for you.
In short, I recommend Ubuntu (Debian-based). Or if you want an Arch Linux-based distro, then Manjaro. These are solid for beginners and experts alike. There are also a few distros I mentioned if you want the familiarity of Windows. Feel free to comment your recommendation below and why you recommend it for beginners.

The Best Linux Distro for You
I use Arch and Manjaro, mainly for the rolling release and package manager. I would be happy with any distro. My one gripe with Arch is in searching for an application that comes only in a deb format and not yet available in the AUR.
Used Zorin for couple of weeks… everything was fine, except JAVA. I kept getting compilation error of Some Library files and browser automation just wont work. headless and everything… tried Mint on top.. was smooth as butter… Mint it is for me !
which linux distro is best with major device drivers support that bundle inside linux package. like intel laptop with nvidia graphic.
if only it can run solidworks and photshop, autodesk sketchbook pro , goat3D ,…

I'll give you a reason why I am changing to Linux. I recently repaired my laptop which had been sitting on a self for a few years. Lenovo Ideapad Y580 with a couple of extras. As I went to install windows 10 all was good until I got to the initial launch. It did not let me get into windows without setting asking me to identify my online ID, offering to syncing my profiles from other devices and so on all in the name of "safety". I felt targeted especially because my intention was to leave the laptop in my living room beside the TV, so anyone could use it. I know that nothing really bad is going to come out of it, yet all this made me feel naked in my pc usage. Who's safety is the concern of windows? Because I do not think it's mine.

As a developer on Windows who would really like to make the jump to coding with .Net on linux, I like your videos a lot. You've mentioned that you like history, so I'll throw one little nugget your way. It's pronounced Deb-ian (not Deeb-ian). The creator of Debian, Ian Murdock (R.I.P.) named it using a mashup of his wife's name (Debra) and his own.
Personally i recommend Fedora for new users who want newer software than Ubuntu has to offer. And Zorin is just Ubuntu LTS with a custom Gnome skin and a few other features, so it is safe to recommend to new users.
