Duuude….so many helpful and amazing tips! Subbed
I really love your channel, you help me a lot!!
your vibe / tone of voice remind me of sinix. very chill, relaxing with tons of useful advice.
Thanks for tutorial bro… You save ma life
Thank you so much for this video but i still have a question ! Is it necessary to draw using pc and other tools for a better comic? I really feel comfortable drawing with procreate on my ipad , i tried a lot to draw using clip paint studio but it causes me a lot of headache . Any tips for help plz?
So glad I found your channel! Planning a story for webtoon gets a lot less terrifying with all the info broke down.
Love your videos, they're so helpful :3
You also don't wanna jump immediately from an establishing shot to a close-up or something similar. That gets confusing, too.
Hey, Walter 🙂 I just discovered your channel and its GOLD! I wanted to make a comic and put it on webtoons (before i even knew how webtoons works) BUT now i see that the format is clearly different from classic comics…My question is: what do i do if i want to print my comic into a comic book but also publish is on webtoons? Do i need different formats? Im confused and scared of the webtoons format 🙁
I know Iam late, but after the contest is before contest;)…
17:24 I havent made a Webtoon yet, but that what appears me most is new format. I guess its relativly save to break the borders here (when it fits) I neither would do this. (just my two cents)
But probably this: https://www.directupload.net/file/d/6071/6cbaa53d_jpg.htm ( I don`t know YouTube allows it) Cool video !
Walter, thank you for sharing all of your knowledge! Everything you say is so true. I went to film school so everything you talk about brings back all my memories and experiences in creating my short films. Although comics are little different (as it is not moving pictures) it's crazy how much of the same things are applied throughout all the different mediums (animation, film, comics/graphic novels etc.)
Thanks again, man! ~♥ You have great stuff. You're definitely underrated and deserve more subscribers.
I couldn’t focus on this because your bookshelves drooping like that makes me nervous
Thailand🖐🇹🇭
Damm!! I'm just seeing this now, lol…so helpful man, Keep up the good work!!✊🏼✊🏼
Many years ago, before the Internet, I was taught that the hero in a TV series will be on the left and the villain on the right. I can't remember why but they knew it worked. Especially advertising has a lot of classic rules like leading the eye and making suggestive poses. I don't have a book to refer to, it was something I learned at school.
That old "theater trick" is something I've never heard of before and it was fascinating. Never would have made the connection.
Thankyou thank you thankyou for this amazing video, I feel like I just did a mini class on story boarding!
This was exactly what I was looking for, thank you so much!
Good contents thank you so much
Thank you, thank you, thank you for all of your videos, you’re seriously a lifesaver!!! I’ve been searching everywhere for tutorials like this, thank you again!!! 🙌⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
hi Walter!
I have a problem right now whether to post my short story competition even if it's over…i was unable to finish in time because of schoolwork. I mean what should I do… leave it alone or just post it even though it's over.:(
i have a webtoon comic I wiped my tears using your blood its a horror, epic fantasy, mystery and crime do check it out guys & please support me let us all support each other if you want me to support your comic do tell me support for support 🙂
I really wanted to participate in the contest but I'm not confident about my art style yet so I might start my first webtoon next year too. but this video is really helpful and great, thank u for sharing so many tips
Thank you for making this video! I am planning on doing the contest and really needed advice or tips! 😆This is very helpful for me to understand what I should do better! 😃I am looking forward to more of your videos^^! 😌
your channel is so helpful dude!!! thanks, i look forward to using your tips in my comic!
tysm!!!
If only I was subscribed to this channel or on Webtoon I could've known about the contest 🙁
Very good and helpful video! I'd like to recommend a tool that I use a lot for my art and comic – Daz 3D. It's a very powerful and flexible software, and it's free. I use it to experiment with my composition and as a help for posing. Basically, you can put the figures and primitives (cubes, spheres, …) where you need your characters and objects to be and then rotate the whole scene to pick the best angle. Perspective grid and primitives help you buid the environment correctly. There are a lot of other features, but for a comic it's enough to use these basics. Hope this will help anyone!
Hey guys 🙂 wanted to share the first episode of my new story on webtoon called THE GIRL AND THE DRAGON SEAL. It's about a girl who loses her whole village because of an attack, and now she's training in combat and traveling around the country to investigate why it all happened, and to find justice. The story happens in a parallel universe in a context similar to Japan in Edo.
You can read it in Webtoon platform in this link> https://bit.ly/30mX8Uy
Hope you enjoy it, and I would appreciate feedback for future episodes and stories o/
I'm the like No.666😅😈😅
I didn't know I was supposed to be imagining a background when it disappears. I'm disappointed when there's an amazing establishing shot, and then that amazing location disappears.
I want to do a comic but due to my mental health issues and bad set up I can't afford to fix, my drawing process is really slowed down.
Anyone got any advices how to deal with this? Please don't be insensitive it's just making it worse.
Hey! First of all, I would like to thank you for this amazing series. Your tips are really helpful and they enlighted me about what I was doing wrong and why my comic doesn't look professional. I'm still looking forward to finishing it because I've been drawing it for 2 years but my next one will for sure look better becauase of your help.
As for the contest, I'm participating in it with a webtoon about a transgender woman coming out to her brother. Not only that, but there's also an ongoing internacional war troubling their family and people.
The name of it is "There won't be another summer
I would really appreciate it and be really grateful if you could check it out when you have the time
Thank you
This is awesome. Like, did you storyboard this video? 😂 Because it’s put together so well haha. Thanks for the great info though and keep it up!!
My friend and I are entering the short story contest with ‘Adventure x3’ and this helped a bunch for me. I’m doing the finalizing of the panels and I notice I NEVER included full body shots. While watching this I started drawing the next panel full body. Thanks for all the tips!
Thank so much for your videos to understand how to upload your comic to webtoon! I am trying to participate on the short contest too and your tips are GOLD! Thank you so much, just sub for support and for the content of course!
Great video! I appreciate a lot this content you are doing, i am trying to participating for the short story contest, and your tips are GOLD! I sub for more! thank so much!
My anxiety was attacking earlier. It keeps telling me that my story won't be picked and everything will be useless. So I searched for tips to divert myself from being negative. And I found your videos. Thanks for helping me get back to working on my webtoon, I got excited trying different shots and my characters will definitely love it. (Lol)
To all the participants, let's keep moving forward. We can do this. 😉
i have a question, how do you upload the cover of the webtoon? also, around what size does it need to be?
Thanks for making these videos for us. It's really a great help, especially for my tiny penguin brain who hasnt done any comics in like ever! 😥Even more so DIGITALLY like so many things to account for. 🥺What's worse is i just discovered this contest today. It's really daunting but i am very grateful that ur channel exists.😭
Thanks a lot for the tips man. I just hope I've found this tutorial of yours before I submit my short story. hehe. I used your tip on slicing the comics though. That is a great help. Cognitive Dissonance is the title of my short story by the way.
I'm participating in the contest and unlucky for me I have like 14 establishing shots before any drama starts.
What is your advice in this situation?
The panels are very highly detailed and follow the idea of someone travelling through carriage showing the entire journey before they actually reach a school which is going to be the real setting for the story. On the way we see a bunch of different environments from cities/villages/forests and open lands before we make it to the final establishing shot at the gates of a prestigious academy.
What is your take in this?
