  1. Shared folder and distribution list both are different things right? Am asking this because we asked to create a distribution list but they provided us a shared folder…

  2. It is a shame that mail from a shared inbox appears in the user's 'Sent' folder rather than the shared mailboxes.

It makes it difficult for others using the shared inbox to find information on what mail has been addressed and said from the shared mailbox ;(

Fantastic and extensive tutorial though! Thank you very much 🙂

  3. I did exactly as you showed but my new shared mailbox says it has no inbox – also I have to fiddle around in my listings to find it – could you perhaps help me out (it's an NGO version of Office 365 Business Premium I use)… or anyone else really 🙂

  4. Hey great video there, however I am unable to send an email from the shared mailbox I created, it returns an "undelivered email error – You do not have permission to send email on behalf of this specified user "

Any one with the same error? What am i missing out on ?

  5. How did you find your Sales under Name on 1:57? Did you create new contact with desire new shared mailbox name or it was created automatically after you create new shared mailbox in EAC? Thanks.

  6. This is for the local Outlook client, not the online one. I don't have a mailbox with my name on it, just inbox. Right clicking does not give me add mailbox.

  7. Hi Peter,
I tried exactly your process but I am failing to make it a success one. I am getting error as "Remote Server returned '550 5.7.501 Service unavailable. Spam abuse detected from IP range. For more information please go to @t. Can you please help here?

  8. Thanks for sharing

When I send emails from shared email box, the sent emails are stored in the personal sent item folder not in the sent item folder of shared email box.
Any who can help me to fix this?

  9. Hi – I would like to ask how would you setup your shared Mailbox so that all of the email sent by the user using the shared mailbox will be stored inside the "Sent Items" of that shared Mailbox. Currently, whenever I send an email to a specific user using the shared mailbox, the sent Item is only being stored inside the "sent Items" of my own mailbox, and not in the "sent items" of the shared mailbox.

  10. ok so how to access from Outlook online (web version)???? Can this shared account be accessible in the same window at the same time as the current account? The shared FROM does not show up either. Is this possible with the online version so I do not have to SWITCH ACCOUNTS every time?

  11. Thanks for this video 🙂 it really helps me a lot especially that I am the admin of our account and I really need this now because calling the Microsoft will took time for me .

  12. Nice video! I have one thing to add though. With Office 365, all shared mailboxes a user has permissions on will normally be added automatically in the installed Outlook client. No need to manually add them – it will even result in the user having dual instances of the shared mailbox. (though this default setting can be changed by the admin)
